So I was delighted to stumble across <a href=\"http:\/\/www.snopes.com\/inboxer\/household\/dryer.asp\">this simple tip<\/a> for extending (and perhaps <em>doubling<\/em>) the life of a dryer. Excerpt:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Just removing the lint from the filter isn&#8217;t always enough \u2014 the fine mesh of most dryer filters can be clogged in ways that aren&#8217;t obvious at a casual glance.
